Youth-led forest protection in Komarindi

Community patrols helped protect Tavagalo and Tagaugau blocks from logging activity while landowners pursued removal from an active logging license.

Northern Tolo Alliance Network

NTAN united 29 tribal groups in northern Malaita and was officially registered under the Charitable Trusts Act in July 2025.

Ferafolia's integrated development

Community-led work advanced water security, a Kava Hub, offices, homestay preparation, and women's leadership.

Savulei eco-tourism and restoration trail

More than 60 youth and volunteers helped clear a 16-km biking trail and connect eco-tourism with catchment restoration.

Taumako's Tepuke canoe voyage

IKI documented canoe construction, blessing ceremonies, and the voyage to Honiara for the Pacific Islands Forum.

Centre for Island Futures

IKI and SINU opened CIF as an academic home for Indigenous knowledge and developed a postgraduate diploma in Island Knowledge Futures.

MITIGT digital education and culture

Eight schools received Starlink connectivity and 29 laptops while communities documented weaving, house building, language, and cultural skills.

Melanesia Ocean Reserve

The Solomon Islands joined regional leaders at UNOC3 to announce collective intent to establish the Melanesia Ocean Reserve.

Tea Room Initiative

Digital hubs in Honiara are creating access to internet, civic education, leadership learning, and youth-generated media.
